Transliteration
dhahaba Aḥmadu ilā as-sūqi fī aṣ-ṣabāḥi. huwa yurīdu an yashtariya fawākiha wa khuḍrawātin. qāla lil-bāʾiʿi: marḥaban, kam siʿru at-tuffāḥi? qāla al-bāʾiʿu: at-tuffāḥu ṭāzajun wa ladhīdhun, as-siʿru dīnārāni lil-kīlū. ishtarā Aḥmadu tuffāḥan wa burtuqālan wa ṭamāṭima. thumma dhahaba ilā al-bayti wa huwa saʿīdun. qālat zawjatuhu: shukran yā Aḥmadu, al-fawākihu jamīlatun jiddan!
English translation
Ahmad went to the market in the morning. He wants to buy fruits and vegetables. He said to the seller: Hello, how much is the price of apples? The seller said: The apples are fresh and delicious, the price is two dinars per kilo. Ahmad bought apples, oranges, and tomatoes. Then he went home and he was happy. His wife said: Thank you, Ahmad, the fruits look wonderful!
