عَلِيمٌ

ʿalīm

all-knowing / omniscient

A2adjectiveroot: ع-ل-م

إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ

inna Allāha bikulli shayʾin ʿalīm

Indeed, Allah is Knowing of all things (2:231)

سَمِيعٌ

samīʿ

all-hearing

إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ

inna Allāha samīʿun baṣīr

Indeed, Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing (22:75)

بَصِيرٌ

baṣīr

all-seeing

وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِالْعِبَادِ

wallāhu baṣīrun bil-ʿibād

And Allah is Seeing of His servants (3:15)

عَظِيمٌ

ʿaẓīm

great / magnificent / tremendous

وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ

wa-innaka laʿalā khuluqin ʿaẓīm

And indeed, you are of a great moral character (68:4)

حَكِيمٌ

يس وَالْقُرْآنِ الْحَكِيمِ

yā-sīn wal-qurʾāni al-ḥakīm

Ya-Sin. By the wise Quran (36:1-2)

إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

inna Allāha ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr

Indeed, Allah is over all things competent (2:20)

Allāhu nūru as-samāwāti wal-arḍ

Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth (24:35)

هُدًى لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

hudan lil-muttaqīn

A guidance for the God-conscious (2:2)

صِرَاطٌ

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَ

ihdinā aṣ-ṣirāṭa al-mustaqīm

Guide us to the straight path (1:6)

ذِكْرٌ

remembrance / mention / reminder

وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ

wa-ladhikru Allāhi akbar

And the remembrance of Allah is greater (29:45)

مَلِكٌ

malik

king / sovereign

فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ

fataʿālā Allāhu al-maliku al-ḥaqq

So exalted is Allah, the True King (20:114)

حَمْدٌ

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbi al-ʿālamīn

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds (1:2)
